BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

empowering the production of local ready-to-eat (RTE) salad to fulfill rising market demand

The Department of Agriculture and Agrifood identified that the majority of ready-to-eat (RTE) salad sold in Brunei are imported. While local farmers have the capacity to grow and produce the vegetables, they lack the capacity in processing the vegetables into RTE salad for a wider market. The CBF Project in Brunei Darussalam aims to enhance famers’ capacity in adding value to their vegetables produce through producing RTE salad that meets the market’s demand.

To ensure that farmers could adopt the use of appropriate technology to produce safe and high-quality value-added vegetables that can support the increase in the production of vegetables.
